Marugame castle - 16

Marugame castle - 16

I am taking photos while changing the direction at the same place from the previous time.
I took a "石垣 = Ishi gaki" of "二の丸 = Ni no maru" from "三の丸 = San no Maru". A "隅櫓 = Sumi yagura" was built on a "石垣 = Ishi gaki" above a person.

There is no "隅櫓 = Sumi yagura" also in this "月見櫓跡 = tsuki mi yagura ato" of "三の丸 = San no Maru" where Jackie is. Also there is no "隅櫓 = Sumi yagura" of "二の丸 = Ni no maru" in the picture.

Most castles in Japan have been demolished by about 150 years ago by the Meiji New Government from now.
From the samurai society until that time, instead of the political system by the Emperor, they destroyed the castle which is its symbol so that no samurai will rise again.
The "天守 = Ten syu", the "御殿門 = Go ten mon", and the "大手門 = Oo te mon", where were left in Marugame castle.

The page link of the virtual image of the figure of Marugame castle of the Edo period created by the Marugame City Agency at the bottom of this page is stated.
