This picture is a stone wall that you can see as you climb up from the "搦め手門 = Karamete Mon(Back doorway gate)" which was a ”大手門 = Ootemon(Main gate)" in the Ikoma era.
In other words, of the Ikoma family era and Yamazaki family era, the Marugame Castle had a major gate on the south side.
This ishigaki built in the Yamazaki family era,There are many in a stone wall standing straight up. This method is a method called "打ち込みハギ = Uchikomi Hagi", processing natural stones with fleas and the like, or break a stone.You can also check traces of the arrow hole.
There are marks of "栃木御門 = the Tochinoki gates" near this picture, but the stone wall isIt is built by the construction method of ""切り込みハギ = Kirikomi Hagi".
